The Faculty of Biology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, seeks an outstanding scientist in the field of Environmental Microbiology.

The main responsibilities of the position holder will be to research and teach basic and applied topics in the area of Environmental Biology in terrestrial ecosystems. The position includes the following tasks:

  • Representing the area of ‘Environmental Microbiology’ in research and teaching
  • Teaching within the study programs of the Faculty of Biology
  • Supervising research theses   
  • Acquiring extra-mural funding
  • Participating in academic self-governance
